Chapter 2. Configuration
3.
Click the
Active Digital
option button.
4.
If you want to include a Debounce filter in alarm settings, review
the following information and then type the number of polling
cycles (for channels 1-4) or seconds (for channels 5 and 6) in the
Debounce filter
text box.
•
Debounce filter applies only to alarms. The filter helps prevent
short spurious noise pulses from triggering an alarm. The value
you enter for
Debounce filter
specifies the number of polling
cycles (channels 1-4) or seconds (channels 5-6) the input
channel must remain in an alarm state after the unit polls the
input channels. If the input channel goes out of alarm during the
polling cycle, the Bullhorn unit resets and does not transmit an
alarm packet to your website account. If zero (0) is entered as
the
Debounce filter
, no filter is applied and the alarm state is
recognized immediately.
•
Polling cycle refers to how often the unit scans or reads
channels 1-4.
5.
Complete the following steps to configure alarm settings:
a.
If you want the unit to transmit an alarm packet when the input
voltage is lower than the threshold value, click the
Transmit
Low Alarm
check box, or click the
Transmit High Alarm
check box if you want the unit to transmit an alarm packet
when the input voltage is higher than the threshold value. The
threshold value is 2 volts for channels 1-4 and 1.5 volts for
channels 5 and 6.
b.
If you want the unit to continue transmitting alarm packets
while the input device is in a
low alarm
state, click the
Repeat
Low Alarm
check box, or click the
Repeat High alarm
check
box if you want the unit to continue transmitting alarm packets
while the input device is in a “high alarm” state.
c.
If you configured the input channel with repeated alarms in the
previous step, specify a repeat interval by typing a value in the
Repeat delay in minutes
text box. The value you enter
represents the number of minutes between repeated alarm
transmissions for both
low
and
high
alarm states. Valid entries
are any number from 60 to 65535. Entering zero (0) disables
this feature.
6.
Click
Validate/Check Entries
to verify the input channel is
configured correctly.
