Connecting Management Traffic
The user is able to select one of two different pairs of 2 ports as the management
ports. There are two available pairs:
•
M1 & M2 - 2 RJ45 copper 1G ports
•
M3 & M4 - 2 SFP+ that can accommodate any type of SFP interface
(1G/10G)
Pair selection is done by configuring one of the pair ports to act as the
management port. The other port in the pair is automatically set as the second
port.
The management port is selected and configured using the following CLI command:
go config nic <Label>:<Mode>:<Speed>:<FailureAction>:<PortUsage>
Acceptable Labels are: M1, M2, M3 or M4
Acceptable values for Mode are: full
Acceptable values for Speed are: 10000
Acceptable values for Failure Action are: none
Acceptable values for Port Usage are: management
For example:
go config nic M3:full:10000:none:management
In this example M3 is set as the primary management port & M4 is set as the
redundant port.
