The command N0S37=x can only be used to set a fixed
modulation mode if <min_speed> and <max_speed> are
set to the same speed and <mod> is set to the desired
modulation. For example:
+MS=11,0,16800,16800 selects V34 16800 bps fixed speed
(there is no comparable S37 command)
+MS=9,0,12000,12000 selects V32bis 12000 bps with fixed
speed (the same as NOS37=10)
For <automode> = 1 (automode on) the following applies:
The modem establishes a connection at the highest possible speed in
accordance with V8, or V32bis annex A if V8 is not supported by the other
modem.
a.
If <max_speed> is higher than the highest value set with
<mod> , the modem starts with a speed equal to that of
the highest value. For example:
+MS=10,1,1200,24000 selects automode from V32bis
14400 bps.
b.
The command N1S37=x can only be used to set a
modulation mode and initial speed if <mod>
and<max_speed> are set. Set <min_speed> to 300 bps
to make the whole range possible. For example:
+MS=11,1,300,16800 selects automode from V34 16800 bps
(there is no comparable S37 command)
+MS=9,1,300,12000 selects automode from V32bis 12000 bps
(same as command N1S37=10)
<min_speed> Specifies the lowest speed at which the modem may establish a
connection. The default value is 300 (bps)
