Section 5 Service Procedures
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the tumbler before servicing.
• Close gas shut-off valve to gas tumbler before servicing.
• Close steam valve to steam tumbler before servicing.
• Never start the tumbler with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the tumbler is properly grounded.

26. REVERSING/NONREVERSING SWITCH
Manual Timer Models
Refer to Figure 5
a. Remove four screws holding access panel to
cabinet. Refer to Figure 1.
b. Lift access panel off top edge of front panel and
pull panel forward. Refer to Figure 1.
c. Remove control box cover. Refer to Figure 2.
d. Disconnect the wires from the back of the
switch.
e. Depress tabs and pull switch out. Refer to
OPL Micro Control MM Models
Refer to Figure 6
a. Remove micro control face plate.
b. Remove two micro control mounting plate
screws, and rotate mounting plate downward.
c. Disconnect wires from back of switch.
d. Depress tabs and pull switch out.
27. CONTROL THERMOSTAT
(Manual Timer Models)
a. Remove four screws holding access panel to
cabinet. Refer to Figure 1.
b. Lift access panel off top edge of front panel and
pull panel forward. Refer to Figure 1.
c. Remove control box cover. Refer to Figure 2.
d. Pull knob off thermostat. Refer to Figure 5.
e. Disconnect wires from thermostat.
f. Remove two screws holding thermostat to front
panel.
g. Remove drive guard cover. Refer to Paragraph
45.
h. Remove screws, wire clips and/or retaining
straps securing thermostat sensing tube to
tumbler.
IMPORTANT: When reinstalling thermostat, be
sure to install all screws and wire clips and replace
all retaining straps.
i. Remove lint panel.
j. Spread locking tabs on sensing probe bracket
and disengage probe from bracket. Refer to
Figure 8.
NOTE: Micro Control Models have a thermistor
rather than a sensing probe. Refer to Figure 8.
k. Carefully remove thermostat, tube and probe.
IMPORTANT: Do not kink sensing tube when
installing thermostat.
IMPORTANT: When reinstalling thermostat, be
sure to secure sensing probe with locking tabs on
bracket.
NOTE: Refer to wiring diagram when rewiring
thermostat.
