Hip and Thigh Supports
NOTE:
The thigh supports are side specific.
NOTE:
For use with the Lateral-to-Prone assembly, only use small and medium
sized hip supports.
1. Determine which size hip support to
use, and then do as follows to install
each support on the support top:
a. Put the support in position on
the top. Make sure the clamp
side of the support is toward the
outside of the top.
– Thigh support —make sure
the support will be in a
position to support the patient’s upper thigh area.
– Hip support —make sure the support will be in a position
that is in between the patient’s iliac crest and the top of the
pelvic bone.
b. Close the blue clamp on to the
locking posts.
c. Slide the blue clamp to the
locked position. When locked,
only the green area will show
on the pin.
NOTE:
Look under the rail to make sure the
clamp is correctly engaged on the
locking posts.
