6.6  Unattended Baggage Detection

Unattended baggage detection can detect when objects such as baggage, a purse, dangerous materials, etc. are left in the pre-
defined area of the field of view. A series of actions can be taken when the alarm is triggered. To configure Unattended Baggage 
Detection: 

1.  Open the VCA menu. Go to 

Menu | Camera Management | VCA

.

2.  On the 

Camera

 line, open the drop down list, and then select the camera you want to configure. 

3.  Check the 

Save VCA Picture

 box to capture a live view image of the VCA event. 

4.  In the VCA type selection line, click on 

Unattended Baggage Detection

. If the camera supports this feature, it will be 

highlighted. 

5.  Check the 

Enable

 box to select this feature. 

6.  Open the 

Rule

 drop down list and select the rule number you want to configure. You can configure up to 4 unattended 

baggage detection rules. 

7.  In the image window, create a virtual baggage zone by clicking on, in a circular manner, the four corners of a quadrangle that 

define the corners of the zone. A blue quadrangle will appear in the image with a number indicating the rule number.
