3. SAFETY AND PREVENTION
The purpose of this section is to provide more detailed information on the rules to be observed when using the machine and that are
described in
section 02 . These rules do not however exempt users of the machine from having to comply with local traffic regulations
(only products approved for driving on public roads) and local requirements in force on occupational health and safety.
3.1. SAFETY
Safety essentially depends on three factors:
s¬ the human factor,
s¬ the environmental factor,
s¬ the product itself.
Careful design and construction of the machine limit the risks to the health and safety of operators and the public, only if:
s¬ the machine is used in the operating conditions described and allowed in this manual;
s¬ the machine is carefully serviced and repaired in accordance with the requirements described in this manual;
s¬ operators have the right aptitude for the task and are in good mental and physical condition;
s¬ operators receive adequate training and updates in accordance with the requirements in force, including regulations on occupational
health and safety and the use of equipment and substances;
s¬ operators adopt the necessary prevention and protection measures, including those described in the risk assessment document and
safety procedures prepared by their organisation; wear suitable clothing and all necessary personal protective equipment.
Operator safety is one of the main concerns of the machine’s manufacturer. When developing a new machine, the manufacturer tries
to envisage all potential danger situations and adopt the related protection measures. Nonetheless, the number of accidents caused
by imprudence or inept use of machinery remains very high, especially in the agricultural sector.
Distraction, carelessness and overconfidence are often the cause of accidents, as are fatigue and drowsiness.
Consequently, this manual must be read very carefully, in particular section 03 “SAFETY AND PREVENTION”.

The manufacturer declines all liability for failure to observe the machine’s general safety rules
and the requirements in force on occupational health and safety and the use of equipment and
substances.
