Setting the Media
Place the media on top of the spindle. The spindle is equipped with a protective cover
called shroud. The shroud protects operating personnel from any injury, in case the user
accidentally touches the media under test. If the shroud’s top lid cover is left open the
spindle will not rotate.
Listed below are the procedures to follow when setting the media.
Step 1. Loosen 2 screws mounted on top of shroud’s lid cover.
Step 2. Lift the lid cover slightly and slide it outwards.
Step 3. Set the media on the spindle.
Step 4. Replace the lid cover.
Step 5. Screw the two screws of the lid cover.

At the center of the shroud is a pole, it is used to prevent the media from spinning off
during rotation.
NOTE
If the user opens the shroud cover while the spindle is running, the spindle will stop.
