Operation Sequence
Select the Test Current (I=SET)
The test current can be selected in range between 10 to
100A in 10A steps. The measurement time can be setup
from 10 to 60 seconds in 1 sec steps. The user can select
the test current value using the up and down arrow
buttons. Pressing the up arrow button causes the value to
increase up to 100A and loop back to 10A and so on. If
the user presses the down arrow button the process goes
in the opposite direction. When the instrument is powered
ON, the initial or default value is 100A.
Select the Measurement Time (t=SET)
The time value can be set up to 60 seconds in increments
of one second. If the user presses the up arrow button the
time value will increase up to 60s, or enter a continuous
mode (infinite symbol) and loop back to 10s and so on. If
the user presses down arrow button the process would go
in opposite direction. If the continuous mode (infinite
symbol -
∞ ) is selected the current I=SET value jumps to
20A as default. If I=SET is changed from 20A, the value
of t=SET jumps to 10s.
I=Actual and t=Remains value show zeros if the test is
not activated.
The user can select START/STOP button to start the test
with current specified under “I= SET” and for the
duration specified under “t=SET”. During the test time
the measured value of resistance, current (“I= xxx”), and
time (“t= xxx”) are updated continuously. When the test is
finished, the last measured value of resistance remains on
the screen.
