Prompt Messages
The current status of the instrument is shown with the
appropriate icon followed by a message. There are two
types of messages:

Status messages
•
Warning messages
Status messages
Status messages describe current status or remind the
user about next expected action. They are in white letters
on black background.
Select I/t, <Start>
- This message reminds the user to
select an appropriate current and time before pressing the
biggest membrane button (START/STOP button) to start
the test. During this message the instrument is in idle
mode. The user can connect and disconnect the test leads
in this mode because there are no measurements being
made and no current flow through the test leads.
Checking the offset
– Once the START button has been
pressed, the instrument performs the measurement. Before
it ramps the current through the test leads and unknown
resistance, the instrument performs a DC offset test. It
