QSFP+ LED Behavior:
Two QSFP+ ports are assigned two LEDs to indicate port
LINK/ACT status. The Green LED is turned on for link status and blinked for active
status.
2.5 Switch and Management Board (SWM)
Switch and Management (SWM) board combines the Ethernet switch and system
management. For high bandwidth data processing and forwarding, the PAC-4010's
network is split to data path and control path; it can process up to 600Gbps data for
network application.
On the PAC-4010, the ingress data frames and egress data frames of external world
are distributed into two high-capacity StrataXGS
®
Trident II/II+ Ethernet switches. Each
Ethernet switch is connected to three PMM modules and six CPU blades. And, each
CPU blade can process 80Gbps data frame.
Each CPU Blade has one control channel with 20Gbps bandwidth, leading to a total
bandwidth of 240Gbps on the system-level control interface.
A Local Management Processor (LMP, Intel ATOM base CPU, 8 Core Rangeley C2000
series) is designed for control CPU blades boot-up and manage system switch. For
switch system management, it does link management protocol controls, remote system
management services, system event log and monitor services. For system monitor, the
ShMC communicates with each CPU blade via IPMI interface. Two SATA HDDs and
two onboard m-SATA SSDs can store event log and boot data in the system. One
RJ45 10/100/1000M Ethernet interface in front panel goes through Broadcom 16-GE
port switch to each CPU blade and switch management system, provides user a
baseband link to manage all blades and switch management system.
