Pull the optic cable out to release it from the transceiver.

Connecting the Switch to Ethernet Ports

RJ45 Ethernet Cable Wiring
For RJ45 connectors, data-quality, twisted pair cabling (rated CAT5 or better) is rec

ommended. The connector bodies on the RJ45 Ethernet ports are metallic and con

nected to the GND terminal. For best performance, use shielded cabling. Shielded
cabling may be used to provide further protection.

Maximum cable length: 100 meters (328 ft.) for 10/100/1000BaseT.
Note!
Replace the dust plug on the slot if you are not installing a transceiver.
The dust plug protects hardware from dust contamination.
