5.6 Installing the cPCI-6910 to the Chassis
The cPCI-6910 may be installed in a system or peripheral slot of a
6U cPCI chassis. These instructions are for reference only. Refer
to the documentation that came with the chassis for more informa-
tion.
To install the cPCI-6910 to the chassis:
1. Locate and remove the system controller slot cover.
2. Press down the cPCI-6910 ejector/injector handle(s) to
loosen.
3. Align the controller’s top and bottom edges to the chas-
sis card guides, then carefully slide the controller into the
chassis.
4. Push the ejector/injector handle(s) up to secure the con-
troller in place, then fasten the screws on the module
front panel.
5. Connect all devices to the system controller.
5.7 Installing the cPCI-R6910 to the Chassis
The cPCI-R6910 may be installed in a 6U cPCI chassis with rear
transition module slots. These instructions are for reference only.
Refer to the documentation that came with the chassis for more
information.
To install the cPCI-R6910 to the chassis:
1. Turn the chassis to access the RTM slots.
2. Press down the cPCI-R6910 ejector/injector handle(s) to
loosen.
3. Align the modules’s top and bottom edges to the chassis
card guides, then carefully slide the module into the
chassis.
4. Push the ejector/injector handle(s) up to secure the mod-
ule in place, then fasten the screws on the module front
panel.
5. Connect all cables and devices to the module.
