cPCI-6910 Series

Advanced Chipset Features

This setup menu controls the configuration of the chipset.

System BIOS Cacheable

When enabled, the BIOS ROM addresses at F0000H-FFFFFH is
duplicated in the SRAM and works with the enabled cache control-
ler. Options include:

Enabled

BIOS access cached

Disabled

BIOS access not cached

Video BIOS Cacheable

When enabled, the video BIOS cache causes the video BIOS
addressed at C0000H to C7FFFH to be cached with the cache
controller enabled. Options include:

Enabled

Video BIOS access cached

Disabled

Video BIOS access not cached

Delay Prior to Thermal

Sets a delay before enabling automatic thermal mode that acti-
vates the thermal control circuit (TCC). Thermal monitor is a fea-
ture of the Intel

®

Xeon

®

processor that allows system designers to

lower the cost of thermal solutions without compromising system
integrity or reliability. By using a factory-tuned, precision on-die
temperature sensor, and a fast acting TCC, the processor, without
the aid of any additional software or hardware, can control the pro-
