cPCI-6910 Series

Installing the CPU

The cPCI-6910 supports one Dual-Core Intel

Xeon

processor

LV/ULV. A proprietary heatsink is included in the package for ther-
mal management. Follow these procedures to install the CPU and
heatsink.

NOTE

Skip this section if the CPU and heatsink comes pre-in-
stalled on the cPCI-6910.

To install the CPU:

1. Locate the CPU socket on the cPCI-6910.

2. Use a flathead screwdriver to turn the CPU lock screw

counterclockwise and unlock the socket.

3. Carefully place the CPU into the socket. Make sure that

the gold triangle at one corner of the CPU matches the
triangular mark at one corner of the socket.
