13.7 Ventin g and Air Intake Pipe
Inspect all venting and air intake pipe. Ens u re that
all seams are sealed and s u spension points sec u re.
Repair s u spension points if any part of the venting
or com bu stion air pipe is sagging. Check to make
s u re any ins u lation is not missing or in poor
condition. Replace as necessary. Check all venting
and air intake components to ens
u re they are in
good condition, gas tight and corrosion-free.
13. 8 Maintenance Checklist

installation and service eq u ipment sold and s u pplied
b y Addison and conform to all req u irements set forth
in the ADDISON ® man u als and all applica b le
governmental a u thorities pertaining to the
installation, service, operation and la b eling of the
eq u ipment.
To help facilitate optim u m performance and safety,
Addison recommends that a q u alified contractor
cond u ct, at a minim u m, ann u al inspections of yo u r
ADDISON ® eq u ipment and perform service w here
necessary, u sing only replacement parts sold and
s u pplied b y Addison.
Annual Fall Start-Up Follo w entire start- u p proced u re at this time and check control settings and
operation.
The Vicinity of the Heater Do not store or u se flamma b le o b jects, liq u ids or vapors near the heater.
Immediately remove these items if they are present.

Vehicles and Other
Objects Maintain the clearances to com bu sti b les.
Do not hang anything from, or place anything on, the heater.
Make s u re nothing is lodged in b et w een the heat exchanger or in the lo u vers.
Immediately remove o b jects in violation of the clearances to com bu sti b les.

Vent Pipe/Terminals Venting m u st b e intact. Using a flashlight, look for o b str u ctions, cracks on the
pipe, gaps in the sealed areas or corrosion.
The area m u st b e free of dirt and d u st.
Remove any car b on deposits or scale u sing a w ire b r u sh.
If the vent terminal has a screen bu ilt in, remove any dirt, d u st or deposits
from the screen.

gaps in the sealed areas or corrosion.

Clean and reinstall as req u ired.
