3.4 Diode Leak Current Measurement
This section describes the procedure of implementing diode reverse leak current measurement
using the 8252 digital electrometer.
Connecting the 12701A with the 8252
1. Ground the 12701A and the 8252.
2. Connect the FORCE/SENSE 1 of the 12701A and the INPUT of the
8252 using the TRIAX-TRIAX cable (A01009).
3. Connect the VS1 HI and the HI of the 8252 using the output cable
(A01044).
4. Connect the VS1 LO of the 12701A and the LO GROUND short bar
of the 8252 using the output cable (A01044).

Caution! To prevent electric shock, observe the following:
1. Be sure to use the short plug to connect the 8252 LO and GROUND.
2. Connect the LID SIGNAL of the 12701A and the INTERLOCK terminal on the rear panel of the 8252, and
set the parameter "OPR Signal" to InterLock In.
This activates the interlock function that will make the 8252 standby when the cover of the 12701A opens.
