3.1 High Resistance Measurement

Setting the conditions of the measuring instrument
11. Set the function to resistance value indication.
Press the IM/RM key to set to RM.
12. Set the measurement range to AUTO.
Press the AUTO key. The LED light goes on.
13. Set to MEASURE.
Press the MEASURE key. The LED light goes on.
14. Set the source voltage to IV.
Press the SET, AUTO (1) and SEST (ENTER) keys.
Connecting DUT
15. Check that the OPERATE key of the 8340A is turned off (LED light
off).
16. Mount DUT onto the test box.
17. Close the cover.
Applying voltage
18. Press the OPERATE key of the 8340A. The LED light goes on.
In this way, a measured resistance value is displayed on the 8340A.
