5. Protective ground terminal
6. CONTROL Amphenol 24-pin connector
Outputs an open/close signal of the cover. It is connected to pin5, pin15 and the LID
SIGNAL. By connecting this connector to a measuring instrument (the INTERLOCK of
the 8252, 6245 or 6246, or the LID SIGNAL of the 8340A), voltage or current generation
from the measuring instrument automatically stops when the cover of the 12701A opens.
7. LID SIGNAL floating BNC connector
Outputs an open/close signal of the cover. By connecting this connector to a measuring
instrument (the OPERATE of the 6246, the INTERLOCK of the 8252, 6245 or 6246, or
the LID SIGNAL of the 8340A), voltage or current generation from the measuring
instrument automatically stops when the cover of the 12701A opens.
NOTE: Connect 6 or 7 connector to the measuring instrument for safety.
The maximum input voltage of the connectors on the rear panel varies depending
on the connector type. Operate correctly in accordance with the following input
ranges of the connectors:
z Between the FORCE/SENSE 1 to 8 core wire or inner shield and the GND:
Maximum 350 V
z
Between VS1 HI and LO: Maximum 300 V
z Between VS2 HI and LO: Maximum 1000 V
Ensure that no voltage is applied when connecting the cables to the connectors on
the rear panel.
Always ground the protective ground terminal for safety.
