Installer Check

Whenever installing or removing units from the HMS-357 chassis, be sure to wear an
antistatic wrist strap and connect it to the ESD strap input.

Determine the network interface for your application

10BASE-2 (coaxial)

10BASE-T (Category-5)

DB-25 (modem)

Select One

Connect the appropriate network interface cable (10BASE-2, 10BASE-T, or DB-25) coming from the
network to the appropriate network interface connector located on the rear of the shelf (see

Figure 16
