10. Once installed, the successful update message appears, thus ending the installation of the driver 

software for the AC01v2 With Port device. 

 

 

7.1.2 Identifying serial port (Linux) 

To identify the name of the serial port created, right after the reader is connected to usb, type in the 
Terminal: 

 

$dmesg | tail | Grep 

 

In the example above, serial communication with the reader will be through 

/dev/ttyACM0

.

To identify the name of the serial port created, right after the reader is connected to usb, type in the 
Terminal: 

 

$ls/dev/tty.usb* 

 

In the example above, serial communication with the reader will be via 

/dev/tty.usbmodem14101
