Connecting the power
The following procedure describes connection of the DC power to the ML600 unit.

Do
not
apply power until you have completed all of the installation
procedures in this chapter.

Caution:
Make sure there are no exposed wires.
Note: Use wire color codes in accordance with customer definitions. In this Quick Installation
Guide, red and black are used. Other color codes can be used such as gray instead of red.
Connecting the DC power to the ML600 power Barrier Terminal Block
1. Remove 3/8" (10mm) of insulation from the end of the black and red 20-18 AWG wires.
2. Crimp the two Ring Terminals to the wires.
3. On the ML600 rear panel, remove the screws from the Barrier Terminal Block using a
Phillips #1 screwdriver.
4. Insert the screws into the Ring Terminals.
5. Attach the Negative (-Vin) Ring Terminal to the Negative (-Vin) Barrier Terminal and
tighten the screw. Attach the Positive (RTN) Ring Terminal to the Positive (RTN) Barrier
Terminal and tighten the screw.
Connecting to the power source
1. Check to make sure DC power source is turned off.
2. If using a power source other than a Power Distribution Panel, follow the manufacturer's
instructions to connect the power source to the appropriate facility ground source.
3. On the power source, attach the loose end of the black wire to the Negative (-) terminal.
Attach the loose end of the red wire to the Positive (+) terminal.
Wiring Instructions for AC Power Adapter
Basic information:
The AC/DC power adapter operates with 100 - 240 VAC (50–60 Hz,
rated at 1.5 Amps).

with two Ring Terminals pre-assembled on the DC output.
