Software Installation and Configuration

Set up the cluster server software by taking the following steps:

1. Power on the External Shared Storage. Don’t power off the External

Shared Storage while setting up the Cluster.

2. Install Windows NT server 4.0 on node1.

3. Install Windows NT server 4.0 on node2.

4. Check the functions of the network between the two nodes.

5. Format the shared drives on the AcerAltos RS700.

6. Install MSCS (Microsoft Cluster Server) on node1.

7. Install MSCS (Microsoft Cluster Server) on node2.

8. Confirm the installation is successful.
