Chapter 4 System Housing 4-1
Chapter 4 System Housing
This chapter describes the features of the system housing and tells you how to
install the basic system components such as disk drives, system board, or
expansion boards. Descriptive illustrations accompany the installation
procedures.
If you receive a complete system, the basic
components are already installed.
Turn OFF the system power and unplug the
power cord and all peripherals before opening
the system or connecting or removing any
peripheral device. Always turn ON any external
peripheral device first before you turn on the
system.
To avoid damaging the system, do not open the
housing for service or upgrades, unless you are
a qualified technician.
Before attempting the procedures described in this chapter, read the ESD
precautions and pre- and post-installation instructions in section 1.6.
