6 Utility Functions

CAUTION:

To include the Basic Operation parameters selected with the “Make User File” utility into the
Device data files, you must first reset the prober to allow it to recognize the selection made.
After a new registration or a modification of a registration, be sure to reset, initialize and restart
the prober.

Saving Basic Operation parameters to Device data files

1) On the Device parameter setting screen, load the desired Device data file.

2) Touch the <Setting End> button to close the Device parameter setting screen. At this point,

do not touch the <Data Store> button.

3) Open the [Operation Settings] screen and touch the <Prober Mode Setting> button to

display the Basic Operation parameter setting screen. Change the settings for the
selected Basic Operation parameters to suit the current device.

4) Touch the <Setting End> button to close the Basic Operation parameter setting screen. At

this point, do not touch the <Data Store/Restore> button.

5) Open the Device parameter setting screen again, and touch the <Data Store> button. The

settings for the Basic Operation parameters are saved into the Device data file.

6.15 System Reset

This screen is used to initialize and restart the prober.

Touch the <Execute> button to start the initialization.
