18. Handling
Observe all safety instructions in these operating instructions.
The product may not be opened or taken apart (except for the change of batteries described in
these operating instructions).
There are no parts on the inside of the product which are to be serviced by you. Apart form this,
the licence (CE) and the guarantee/warranty will lapse if you open/take the product apart.
The product will be damaged even it falls from a low height.
Avoid using the device under the following unfavourable ambient conditions.
- wetness or excessive air humidity
- extreme cold or heat
- direct sunlight
- dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- strong vibration
- strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers.
Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room to a warm one. The
condensation produced may destroy the product.
Wait until the product has reached the room temperature. This may take several hours.
Caution!
Due to the place of mounting, the door lock actuator is located within the range of
children. It is therefore sensible (depending on the age) to instruct them in its opera
-
tion. This applies of course also for all other persons living in the flat.
Just in cases of emergency (e.g. fire), it has to be guaranteed that all persons
can leave the flat without delay!
If the door is locked, the door can be opened both by pressing the upper key and by
means of the hand wheel.
Due to small parts which can be swallowed (button cell), the radio remote control may
not be given to children for safety reasons.
