13.4.3 Example of setting output data
The following example illustrates the setting method for replacing the individual operations in the device with
transmission data (output data) from an external device.

Perform gas check.
By setting offset 0/bit 3 to 1 gas rinsing is started.
By setting offset 0/bit 3 to 0 gas rinsing is ended.
Perform slow wire feed.
By setting offset 0/bit 1 to 1 the wire feed is started.
By setting offset 0/bit 1 to 0 the wire feed is ended.
Perform the welding process.
By setting offset 0/bit 0 to 1 the welding process is started.
By setting offset 0/bit 0 to 0 the welding process is ended.
Stop operation.
By setting offset 0/bit 7 to 1 the operation is stopped.
By setting offset 0/bit 7 to 0 the operation stop is lifted.
The following operations can only be changed if changing settings by an external device is permitted.
Changing settings is permissible when offset 3/bit 7 is set to 1 and is not permissible when offset 3/bit 7
is set to 0.
Set the travel speed.
To set the travel speed to "high", set offset 4/bit 0–1 to "1".

Set the welding procedure.
To set the welding procedure to "DC", set offset 4/bit 2–4 to "1".

Set the welding current.
To set the welding current to "350 A", set offset 9–10 to "350
(= 0 × 015E)".
(Offset 9: 0 × 5E, offset 10: 0 × 01)
Set welding voltage to
individual setting.
To set the welding voltage to "32.0 V", set offset 13–14 to "320
(= 0 × 0140)".

Define setting for fine
adjustment of welding voltage
for synergetic mode.
To set the fine adjustment of the welding voltage for synergetic
mode to "−10”, set offset 15 to "−10 (= 0 × F6)".
Set the function.
To set F45 (special end crater filling sequence) to "ON", set
offset 18 to "45 (= 0.2D)“and set offset 19–20 to "1
(= 0 × 0001)".
