Description for setting 2
Short-circuiting the terminals starts the wire feed.
Description for setting 3
If a wire feed is triggered after the terminals are short-circuited, the welding wire is retracted.
The terminals must be short-circuited before the wire feed signal is issued. To stop the operation, first switch
off the wire feed signal and then open the terminals.
Description for setting 4
Short-circuiting the terminals starts the welding process.
The starter terminal of the feed connection on the front of the machine is deactivated.
Description for setting 5
The parameters saved to the job memory can be read with a combination of signals.
The combination of the external terminals enables the reading of the welding parameters job no. 1 to 16
from the job memory of the welding power source. The corresponding job no. is listed in the table below.
The external input terminal without setting 5 is considered as signal “OFF”. These can be set by other
functions correspondent to the functions (external input terminal) that do not need the status “ON” for
the job no.
Example 1: Reading out the welding parameters from job no. 3
1
Set F30 to 5.
2
Set the signal of the external input terminals IN-EXT2 to ON.
3
Read out job no. 3.
Other functions can be used for F29, F31, and F32.
Example 2: Reading out the welding parameters from job no. 3
4
Set F29 and F32 to 5.
5
Set the signal of the external input terminals IN-EXT2 to OFF.
6
Read out job no. 3.
