6 Putting into operation
TIG cold-wire feeder
6.4 Function types
6.4.1 2/4-cycle and 2/4-cycle with interval
The wire feed can be delayed on start-up using the parameter
dt
(0 – 3 sec.).
Wire retraction can be used when stopping welding. The wire retraction time is set using the parameter
rE
(off – 3 sec.).
The wire retraction feed rate is set using function
F2
.
The rockers (T1 to T4) are programmed using function
F5
.
The applicable parameter settings can be found in the following table:
2-cycle
In 2-cycle mode, the rocker
is moved towards T4 to switch the welding current source on or off.
Moving the rocker
towards T2 switches the wire feeder on or off.
4-cycle
In 4-cycle mode, the rocker
is moved towards T4 to switch on the welding current source and towards T2 to switch on
the wire feed. Moving the rocker
towards T4 again switches off the welding current source. The wire feeder remains on
but can be switched off by moving the rocker
towards T2.
