Check that the IED settings are appropriate, i.e.

3.
Supply the IED with two-phase voltages at their rated values.
4.
Slowly decrease the voltage in one of the phases, until the ST1 and START signal appears.
5.
Note the operate value and compare it with the set value.
6.
Observe that the TR1 and TRIP signals appear after set time delay of
t1
s.
The operate value in secondary volts is calculated according to the following

Increase the measured voltage to rated load conditions.
8.
Check that the START signal resets.
9.
Instantaneously decrease the voltage in one phase to a value about 20% lower than the
measured operate value.
10.
Measure the operate time for the TRIP signal.

Repeat steps from 1 to 4 by setting

observe that TR1 and TRIP appear after the inverse time delay.

Repeat the above described steps for Step 2 of the function.
