4.2.5. Loading and unloading by crane

The following instructions are to be observed for lifting the cabinets by crane:

– Use always 4 lifting cables with the same length

– Use suitable hangers with safety hooks and holders in order to ensure a safe lifting of

the PCS6000.

– Fix the hooks at the base frame below the PCS6000.

– Use a suspension beam as shown in the figure below.

– Adjust the length of the hanger to provide a straight lifting position.

– In order to avoid any buckling of the transport frame and damage of the PCS6000 due

to excessive pressure, the maximum angle between the hanger and the vertical line
(base frame) may not exceed 30°.

If this angle should be exceeded due to a low ceiling height, a straddle carrier shall be
used.

Figure 4–4 Loading and unloading in-line PCS6000 with suspension beam

CAUTION

Danger of collapse!

▶ DO NOT stand on the converter modules or the roof of the control cabinets.

NOTICE

Risk of cabinet damage!

▶ When lifting the PCS6000 by crane use only the eyebolts at the base frame.

▶ DO NOT attach lifting cables or other lifting equipment at the top of the

PCS6000.
