Description of the use of the DC/DC converter embedded in the
ESI-S single phase
The ESI-S single phase is provided with a DC/DC converter. This converter allows to have
a wider range of battery voltage. The DC/DC converter has a current rating of 120A. The
power rating of the AC/DC converter is defined by the current rating and the network
voltage. This means that the power rating of the converter is changing with the battery
voltage. Therefore using very low voltage battery will reduce the power rating of the
complete inverter as shown on the figure below (example for a 48kW ESI-S single phase).
