TMA Grand Master 2.6 – User’s Guide
5 Using TMA Grand Master
5. After the barcodes of donor or recipient blocks are identified, they are automatically
displayed both in the
Recipient Block ID
and
Donor Block ID
fields. If barcode reading had
not been previously set, the Barcode panel of Settings window appears in which you can
specify the barcode type and set it as default for the entire project.
NOTE:
Barcode reader recognizes ASCII 32-166 characters only, extraneous characters will be
deleted from the string.
6. If you want to remove a donor block from the device, click at the bottom right corner of
the donor block thumbnail displayed at the donor panel.
5.5 Launching the transfer process
The TMA Grand Master is capable of creating TMA blocks and core sampling into PCR tubes at the
same project, or you may as well use any of the two options exclusively.
If you want to use the PCR sampling function of TMA Grand Master, simply insert the necessary
amount of PCR cassettes into the designated slots. The software automatically scans their presence
and positions during loading block and/or cassettes to donor trays.
The PCR button on the right of the donor block image is automatically displayed if a PCR cassette is
properly inserted to its slot on the donor tray you have selected to work on.
