This chapter tells you how to log on to the PathBuilder

®

 S600 WAN Access Switch 

(PathBuilder S600), how to use the PathBuilder S600 menus, and how to perform 
initial configuration using the NMS menus. It contains the following sections:

Logging On 

You enter initial configuration information via the local VT100 user interface. This 
interface is preserved on a VT100 terminal connected to the RS-232 (console) port 
on the Management CPU in slot 1 of the PathBuilder S600, as shown in Figure 28.

Set the terminal for the following:
