5.2 Power Connections

5.2.1 AC Power Connections (IES-1248-71 AC Power Version Only)

Connect the female end of the power cord to the power socket of your IES-1248. Connect the
other end of the cord to a power outlet. Make sure that no objects obstruct the airflow of the
fans.

5.2.2 DC Power Connections (IES-1248-71, IES-1248-73)

The IES-1248 power connections are at the lower-left corner of the front panel.

When installing the IES-1248 power wire, push the wire firmly into the terminal
as deep as possible and make sure that no exposed (bare) wire can be seen
or touched.

Connect one end of a power wire to the

–

power terminal on the front panel of your IES-

1248 and tighten the terminal screw.

Connect the other end of the power wire to the -48 to -60 VDC terminal on the power
supply.

Repeat the previous step for the terminal labeled

5.3 Procedure to Turn on the IES-1248 Power

Turn on the power supply.

Move the IES-1248 power switch to the

ON

position.
