D (Dial)
Instructs the modem to dial a specified telephone
number. The D command has several additional
modifying commands which can be used in conjunction
with the D command.

Inserts a pause of two seconds (or the
value in seconds of register S8).

Causes modem to wait for dial tone for a
period equal to the value of register S6.

Waits for 5 seconds of silence before
continuing.

Returns to command mode after dialing.

Dials one of the four stored telephone
numbers (each with a maximum of 30
characters), i.e., DS

En (Echo
Command)
Controls whether or not the modem echoes the AT
commands, which is what allows one to see A7 on the
PC or terminal screen. The default setting for echo is
enabled. (Note: modem will not echo characters in
online command mode).
