Transporting your bike
W A R N I N G
During transport, the bike can fall over, slide or fall off the vehi-
cle. This can result in serious injuries.
Secure the bike to prevent tipping, slipping or falling during
transport in a vehicle or on public transport.
-
Use an approved commercially available bike carrier for your vehicle to transport your bike.
-
If you do not have a bike carrier and the bike has to be transported in the boot, ensure that
the bike does not lie on the derailleur.

Care and maintenance of your bike
Care of the battery
The battery is designed for roughly 500 charging cycles. After 500 charging cycles, the bat-
tery no longer has 100% capacity. The capacity after 500 charging cycles is only around
60%. A charging cycle involves the charging of the battery from 0% to 100%. Charging the
battery from 99% to 100% does not count as a full charge cycle, only as 1% of a full charge
cycle. 500 charging cycles usually take more than two years.
You can store the battery with a charge level of 75% for about five months without re-
charging. At a charge level of 50%, roughly three months.
In order not to shorten the service life of your battery, proceed as follows:
-
Charge the battery when the charge level is between 30% and 50% after riding.
-
Ensure that the battery does not become completely discharged (deep discharge).
This can happen if the battery is completely discharged and the bike is then parked for several days.
To store the battery for longer than two months, proceed as follows:
-
Remove the battery.
-
Make sure that the battery has no visible damage, e.g. a broken casing.
-
Fully charge the battery before storing it for a prolonged period.
-
Store the battery in a dry place with low humidity.
-
Maintain a temperature between 5°C and 20°C.
-
Protect the battery from extreme fluctuations in temperature.
-
Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or heat, e.g. when stored in a warehouse.
-
Ensure that the stored battery is charged at least every three months.
