The frame number is not filed by us together with the
buyer’s purchase order.
Record the frame number in your bike passport or on
your invoice and register your bike with the police free of
charge!
-
Use a suitable bike lock to protect your bike from theft.
-
If possible, park your bike only in designated areas, preferably in heavily frequented areas.
-
Register your bike with the frame number free of charge with the police. For this, fill in your
bike passport that you will find on p. 70 of this operating manual.
-
As a precaution, check whether your household insurance covers the theft of pedelecs, and
what the conditions for this are..
5.
Performance tuning forbidden
F O R B I D D E N
Modifications and/or performance tuning are strictly
prohibited!
In the event of an accident/damage (without insurance
cover), the rider is liable with his entire private assets!
Performance optimisation (tuning) of EPACs is illegal. According to the German Road Traffic Licensing
Regulations (StVZO), an EPAC whose motor accelerates the bike to more than the permitted 25 km/h
is considered a motor vehicle. This requires an insurance number plate, an operating permit (ABE)
and a corresponding driving licence (driving licence class AM or class B).
The EPACs sold by the manufacturer do not have an operating permit as is the case, for example,
with S-pedelecs. Performance optimisation thus has the following consequences for you:
-
Tuning is considered a significant modification of the EPAC.
-
The manufacturer's declaration of conformity is voided.
-
No warranty or defect liability claims can be made.
-
Riding without an operating permit can result in a fine.
6.
Recommendation for insurance cover
The manufacturer recommends taking out private liability insurance for riding an EPAC!
