Chapter 5 Common Conference Control Operations

Conference

Control

Description

Specify

Speech

The chairman terminal broadcasts the video of a specified terminal and makes the

terminal become the broadcast source in a conference.

In this case, except the chairman terminal and the specified terminal, the microphones

of all the other terminals are off but their speakers are on.

Open Voice

Control

After the function of voice control is enabled, the conference is in voice control mode.

In this mode, the broadcast source is automatically switched to the speaking terminal

in turn. When several terminals make speeches at the same time, the broadcast

source is automatically switched to the terminal with the highest volume.

Chairman

View

The chairman terminal selectively views the video of the specified terminal.

This function is available only when the chairman terminal is the broadcast source.

The chairman needs to select the required terminal manually to view the required

video.

Chairman

Browse

The video window of the chairman terminal continuously displays the video of the

specified terminal.

This function is available only when the chairman terminal is the broadcast source.

After the chairman sets the polling time, the video of the specified terminal is

continuously displayed on the master TV of the chairman terminal. In this case,

manual operation is not required.

Mute/Silent

The chairman terminal controls the microphones and voice status of other terminals

that attend the conference.

Conf. Man-

agement

During a conference, the chairman can perform the operations, such as adding a

terminal, calling a terminal, hanging up a terminal, forcing a terminal to exit, prolonging

the conference, and ending the conference.

Release

Chairman

The chairman terminal releases its token and becomes a non-chairman terminal.

Free Talk

The microphones and speakers of all the terminals in the conference are on.

Release

Dual Token

The chairman terminal can close the secondary video (presentation) transmitting

in the conference.

The following table lists the site status after the chairman performs the corresponding

operations of conference control.
