3.1 Overview of the Dual Video Streaming
The dual video streaming means to transmit dual video streaming (primary and secondary
video) in one channel simultaneously. The dual video streaming shares the bandwidth
resource. The dual video streaming could be the combination of any two items, including
image of camera, image of computer desktop, video of DVD or recorder.
Generally, the first video streaming is used to transmit the image of camera at the main
site occupying most of bandwidth. Usually the primary video streaming is called primary
video. The secondary video streaming is used to transmit image of the desktop, such as
slides for training and learning or files of other formats. Usually, this video streaming is
called presentation. The presentation occupies less bandwidth than the primary video.
The H.239 protocol is an international standard formulated by ITU-T. It can be used
to implement the interoperability of products of different manufacturers in terms of
presentation. Currently, it is only used in the H.323 system.
The prerequisites for transmitting presentation are as follows:
l
In a point-to-point conference, this operation needs to be allowed by terminals. To
enable the function of presentation, select
General > Call Option
by using the remote
control or select
System Settings > General > Call Option
on the Web page.
l
In a multipoint conference on the MCU, besides enabling the function of presentation
on terminals, you need to configure the function of presentation, and select the
bandwidth for the presentation and the protocol type in the conference template of
the conference management system (such as the conference management system
of M900).
3.2 Enabling Presentation
