Chapter 6. Cell connection
Please note the cell lead cable connector color as the follows
Working electrode: Green connector
Sense: Blue connector
Reference: White connector
Counter: Red connector
ZIVE SP2 was shipped with standard 1meter shielded cell cable. Cell connector is Dsub type and other side
has 5 banana ended plugs with removable alligator clips. 25pin Dsub male connector of standard cell cable
connects to SP2’s rear panel 25pin Dsub female connector.
For secure connection, you should screw the cell connector into the rear panel connector.
Cell connection is;
Connect green and blue lead to the working electrode. Green lead is for current flow and blue lead is for
measuring voltage. Do not locate these leads nearby EMI noise source.
Connect white lead to reference electrode. Cell potential is measured between white lead and blue lead.
Do not locate these leads nearby EMI noise source
Connect red lead to counter electrode. (Someone says auxiliary electrode). These lead to flow current.
Caution: Do not touch this lead. Dangerous!!
If you are trying to measure very small current, you need faradaic cage.
