SAFBAG dust bag disassembly/assembly
C
1
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a dust bag full
indicator
(8)
. When the dust bag full indicator
(8)
lights
during operation (with the nozzle or the brush lifted above
the cleaned surface) it means that the bag is full and needs
to be replaced. In addition the dust bag full indicator
(8)
may
activate if the suction hose or the elements attached to the
suction hose are clogged (suction power – level 5).
2
Switch off the vacuum cleaner by pressing the “on/off”
button
(7)
and unplug the appliance.
3
Press the two side buttons on the end of the hose and
remove the hose end from the inlet opening of the vacuum
cleaner.
4
Release the upper cover fastening
(12)
and open the cover.
5
Remove the SAFBAG dust bag module
(21)
from the
vacuum cleaner chamber
6
Grab the dust bag cover, gently bend it towards the
inside and remove the whole dust bag upwards.
7
Insert the plate of the new dust bag in the tracks of the
SAFBAG dust bag module
(21)
and slide it until stop. The
direction for inserting the dust bag is indicated by the arrow
on the bag.
8
Slide the SAFBAG dust bag module together with the
installed bag in the tracks located on the side of the vacuum
cleaner chamber. Close the cover by pressing it until you
hear a characteristic click – pay attention not to trap the
dust bag.
Do not vacuum without the SAFBAG dust bag
module/the “CYKLON” dust container installed
in the appliance. The lack of the SAFBAG dust
bag module/the “CYKLON” dust container
prevents from locking the upper cover of the
appliance.
ZELMER vacuum cleaners are equipped with SAFBAG dust
bags in the amount indicated in the table. It is recommended
to replace the dust bag if:
a) a)the SAFBAG dust bag /”CYKLON” dust container full
indicator will lit up,
b) the vacuum cleaner operates poorly,
c) the dust bag is full.
Disassembly/assembly of the “CYKLON”
dust container
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a removable dust
container “CYKLON” in which dirt is accumulated. The dust
container “CYKLON” must be emptied once full.
1
Switch off the vacuum cleaner by pressing the “on/off”
button
(7)
and unplug the appliance.
2
Press the two side buttons on the end of the hose and

cleaner chamber.
5
Pull aside the fastenings on the “CYKLON” dust container
and open the container. Empty the dirt from the container.
After performing this activity, check the basic
HEPA 12 filter and if necessary clean or replace
the filter.
6
Close the cover of the “CYKLON” dust container, firmly
press the fastenings until you hear a characteristic “click”.
The container must be tightly closed.
Otherwise the dust might enter the vacuum
cleaner chamber and the suction power will be
reduced.
7
Insert the empty “CYKLON” dust container into the
vacuum cleaner chamber.
8
Close the cover by pressing it until you hear
a characteristic click.
Filter disassembly
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a filter element with
cyclone filtration which allows for vacuuming without the
traditional dust bag. A characteristic feature of the cyclone
filter is the use of the air stream whirl to separate solid dirt.
The separation of dirt takes place in the part of the container
with the circle cross section in which the whirling air pushes
the dirt on the wall of the container and next through an
opening to the adjacent chamber of the container. The
initially cleaned air is directed to the cone shaped HEPA 12
filter which retains even the finest dirt fractions. The HEPA 12
filter is equipped with a mesh protection which limits the
accumulation of dirt on the operating surface of the filter, due
to which the service life of the HEPA 12 filter is longer.
