B-frame Temporal
Layer
1 – 4 (
1
)
Used to configure # of pyramidal B-frames the
encoder uses. Increasing this number will
potentially improve quality at lower bitrates.
However, setting this value to something besides 1
also runs the chance of causing an incompatibility
with off-the-shelf decoders, since not all of them
necessarily support pyramidal B-frames.
Audio Delay
0
– 1000ms
Can be used with “video delay” to adjust
audio/video offset when the A/V sync of the
source is a little off. This is typically set to 0.
Video Delay
0
– 1000ms
Can be used with “audio delay” to adjust
audio/video offset when the A/V sync of the
source is a little off. This is typically set to 0.
Output Interface
Ethernet
DVB-ASI
DVB-ASI + Ethernet
Where the output stream goes to. The user can
select between Ethernet, DVB-ASI, or both. Note
that for RTP, Ethernet must be selected.
Video Passthru
HDMI
SDI
Where the passthru video is sent to. Allows the
user to see the video that is being encoded through
either HDMI or SDI.
Output Format
MPEG-2 TS
RTP
Selects between MPEG-2 TS encapsulated streams
(sent over UDP), or RTP.
Dest IP Address
192.168.x.y
(192.168.0.6)
The IP address that the encoder is streaming to.
Dest Port
0 – 9999 (
5004
)
The port that the encoder is streaming to.
ASI Bitrate
0 – 20000k (
12000k
)
Governs the transport stream rate. In general, it is
good to give a 30-50% margin over the video
bitrate. This parameter is only valid when “Output
Format” is “MPEG-TS.”
Note 1: Input Resolutions Supported:
WQVGA (320x180), QVGA (320x240), SIF (352x240), CIF (352x288), 2-CIF (352x576), 640x360, VGA
