11.1.3 LOADING ZCAST INTO THE Z810 3D PRINTER
1. Disconnect the electronic cable, power cable, and air line
to the ZF8 Feeder.
2. Pull the release lever on the back side of the printer and
simultaneously remove the ZF8 starch or plaster feeder.
3. Slide the ZF8 ZCast Feeder, locking it into place, and
reconnect all hoses and cables.

11.1.5 POST PROCESSING ZCAST PARTS
Remove and depowder the part as described in Chapter 6,
Removing the Part
. ZCast parts
require no infiltration. However, ZCast molds must be thoroughly baked in a vented oven at
sufficient temperatures to burn out organic materials. Additionally, the user may apply a core
wash solution to improve the surface finish of the casting. See the ZCast Direct Metal Casting –
Design Guide for bake temperatures, times, and additional information.
Remove the scraper assembly by
using the 0.25” nut driver tool.
PLEASE NOTE:
Before changing back to
plaster or starch powders, reattach the
scraper blade.
