3.4 Using the Mouse and External Keyboard

Using the Mouse

You can connect a mouse to perform the same operations that you can perform by
tapping the instrument’s touch panel.
Connect a USB mouse to a USB port on the instrument’s front panel. For details on
connecting a mouse, see section 2.3.

Mouse Operation Description

Click

Performs the same operation as tapping on the touch panel.

However, the following operations are not available.

• Displaying a pop-up list by tapping the waveform display area

• Displaying the operation tool window by tapping the moving marker

Right-click

• Right-clicking the waveform display area displays a pop-up list.

• Right-clicking outside the waveform display area displays the Main Menu

window.

Drag

• Performs the same operation as dragging on the touch panel. However, you

cannot move the displayed waveforms.

• Dragging the waveform display area zooms the waveform by the dragged

wavelength (frequency) range.

If an overview window is displayed, dragging within the dotted frame in the

overview window moves the zoom waveform horizontally while maintaining

the wavelength range.

Operations equivalent to pinch out and pinch in on the touch panel cannot be performed with a

mouse.
