47
A - Loosen the screws and put the wire into the
opening on the terminal block.
B - Wire with a crimp ferrule attached, or unsoldered
wire with the core wires lightly twisted
C - Pull back the shielding and lightly twist the end
with your fingers to keep the ends from fraying.
D - When you do not use crimp ferrules, remove
approximately 5.5 mm (0.21 in) of the covering at
the end of the wire.
E - Blade width of 2.5 mm (0.1 in) or less
F - Blade thickness of 0.4 mm (0.01 in) or less

Note:
• Do not solder the core wire. Soldered wiring connections can become loose and cause the drive to malfunction.
• Tighten all terminal screws to the correct tightening torque. Connections that are too loose or too tight can cause incorrect
operation and damage to the drive. Incorrect connections can also cause death or serious injury from fire.
• Refer to
for information to prepare terminal ends of the shielded wire.
• Prepare the wire ends of shielded twisted-pair wires as shown in
to use an analog reference from an external
frequency setting potentiometer to set the frequency. Connect the shield to terminal E (G) of the drive.
A - Connect the shield to terminal E (G) of the drive.
B - Sheath
C - Insulate with electrical tape or shrink tubing.

Switches and Jumpers on the Terminal Board
The terminal board has switches to adapt the drive I/Os to the external control signals as shown in
Set the switches to select the functions for each terminal.
