In contrast to 8x periphery modules, you can directly demount and
mount 16x periphery modules.
Turn all the locking lever of the module group to be exchanged upwards.

Pull the module group forward.

For mounting turn all the locking lever of the module group to be mounted upwards.
6.
To mount the module group put it to the gap between the both modules and push it,
guided by the stripes at both sides, to the mounting rail.
7.
Turn all the locking lever downward, again.
8.
Wire your module group respectively plug the wired terminal blocks again.

Now you can bring your system back into operation.

Replacement with an incompatible unit is not permitted!
If the firmware version of the CPU is newer than the firmware version of
the CPU to be replaced, you might have to recompile your user program
in iCube Engineer. If this is required, you will be informed with the corre-
sponding firmware version.
