Operation Description: Example when drive is motoring
FAM2 : Light-load Acceleration 2 Activation Frequency (S4-08)
TA2
: Light-load Acceleration 2 Timer (S4-13)
LGS
: Light-load Acceleration 2 Motoring Limit Activation Level (S4-09)
LGH
: Light-load Acceleration 2 Motoring Hold Level (S4-10)
Note: The lines on the diagram above show room for output from the drive, although it will still stall if there isn't
enough power.
When the light load function is activated (S4-01=2 or S4-01=1 and selected by DI) we have following behavior:
(1) When frequency reference exceeds the Light-load 2 Frequency (FAM2), then the accel time will change to
accel time * S4-17 (Light-load 2 Accel Time Gain),
and the drive will check the output power.
During motoric conditions:
(2) When output current becomes bigger than light load speed 2 motoric limiter start level (LGS), the acceleration
rate is slowed down and the Light-load 2 Timer (TA2) starts counting. TA2 timer will be reset, when output
current becomes smaller than LGS.
(3) If also after reducing acceleration rate the output current becomes higher than Light-load 2 Motoring Hold Level
(LGH) or if the Light load 2 Timer will become TA2 the drive will stop accelerating. If the Light load timer has
become bigger than TA2 the motor will no longer accelerate until drive will be complete stopped.
During regeneration
(4) when Light-load 2 Regen Operation Selection is enabled (S4-18 = 1), operation is same as at motoric conditions,
except that instead of LGS and LGH, LRS and LRH are used (look explanation (2) and (3))
(5) When output frequency is higher than Light-load Acceleration 2 Activation Frequency (S4-08) and also the
output power is higher than Light-load 2 Fault Detection Level (LEA2) a counter starts to count the time where
this goes on. If the counter value reaches Light-load 2 Fault Detection Time (TEA2) a Light load 2 fault comes
up (OL6) and inverter will react according to Light-load 2 Fault Operation Selection (S4-14).
