Operation Specifications of the Module
( 2 ) Relationship between Master Allocations and Slave Allocations
Set the same sizes for the master allocation size (the size allocated in the device description file) and the slave alloca-
tion size (the input and output sizes in the parameter settings of the 264IF-01 Module).
If you use software version 1.01 or later, communications will not be possible unless the same sizes are set.
If you use software version 1.00, the following table shows the setting conditions for which communications will be
possible even when the same sizes are not set.
Table 5.1 Conditions for Master Allocation Size and Slave Allocation Size for Software Version 1.00
Condition
EtherCAT
Communication
Description
Input (In) size in the device description file
for the master side
≥
264IF-01 parameter
setting [Output size]
Possible
The input size of the device description file is secured in the Eth-
erCAT transmission lines, but when refreshing data between the
264IF-01 Module and the MP2000 Series Machine Controller
CPU, only the output size in the parameter settings is secured,
and the input size is not secured.
Input (In) size in the device description file
for the master side < 264IF-01 parameter
setting [Output size]
Not possible
The EtherCAT communication status will not change to the
OPERATIONAL status in which process data communication is
possible.
Output (Out) size in the device description
file for the master side
≥
264IF-01 parame-
ter setting [Input size]
Possible
The output size of the device description file is secured in the
EtherCAT transmission lines, but when refreshing data between
the 264IF-01 Module and the MP2000 Series Machine Control-
ler CPU, only the input size in the parameter settings is secured,
and the output size is not secured.
Output (Out) size in the device description
file for the master side < 264IF-01 parame-
ter setting [Input size]
Not possible
The EtherCAT communication status will not change to the
OPERATIONAL status in which process data communication is
possible.
