Factor rate: 

All application rates are generally multiplied by this application factor be-

fore they are sent to the variable-rate controller. Normally this number should al-
ways be set to 1.00. 

3.3.4 Device 

detection 

To simplify the assignment of serial ports to the individual devices (GPS, N-
Sensor and variable-rate controller), the 

Device detection

 option may be used. 

When this button is pressed, the system will automatically search the available serial 
ports for the selected devices. For this purpose, make sure that all devices are 
switched on and connected properly. 

Device detection may take several seconds and the progress can be followed on the 
device detection screen. 

 

 

 

The detection process can be cancelled at any time pressing the 

Cancel 

button. 

When the detection has been completed, an 

OK

 button will be displayed to 

apply the new settings. 

Note that depending on the local configuration the 

Device detection

 option may not be 

available on certain systems. 

3.3.5 Information 

screen 

The information screen displays the current software version number 
together with the type and the serial number of the attached N-Sensor.
